What are the Law Firm Valuation & Due Diligence Services you offer?
We can provide a formal report prepared on a bespoke basis depending on the law firm, the purpose for the report and the complexity of the entity being valued or reviewed. The report will give our opinion as to the open market value of a law firm and provide details of any recently concluded deals of a similar size and type. Our due diligence reports will give you a full run down of the firm and extensive documentary evidence as to the internal & external workings. We can provide due diligence reports for both law firm sellers and purchasers.

What do I need to do?
In the first instance contact us for a preliminary discussion. We are always happy to have an initial chat to give you rough figures based on recent deals and potential deals occurring. We don’t charge for this service, but we do charge to prepare a formal valuation. If you want to progress to a formal valuation we will provide you with a quotation based on your specific requirements and size.
What does a valuation entail?
It very much depends on the level of valuation you want. It may involve interviews with key people within the organisation, including your finance team, your external accountant, management and partners/senior fee earners.
What does the due diligence service include?
It very much depends on your requirements. We can go into considerable detail if required, or alternatively provide an overview of a firm and its operations.
What is the cost?
Prices vary according to your requirements. Contact us for a quote.
How long will it take?
It really depends on the law firm in question and the work involved. However it will usually take between 48 hours and two weeks.
Will the valuation reflect the price I will get from a sale?
It really depends on a huge range of factors, but the main point is that you will have an idea as to what the practice is worth potentially.
